How does it feel to be Phillip Lim’s muse?
I’m so excited because I did his fall look book and he said, “Oh, you’re so beautiful,” and I was like, “Ooooh! Thank you!” Then he said, “It’d be so great if all the girls at the show had your hairstyle.” I thought he was joking, but look at this!
Was that the first time you met Lim?
Yes, I just met him for the first time two weeks ago!
How long have you had your hair cut this way?
Almost one year. My hair was really long but I wanted to cut it because all Asian girls have the same hairstyle—long, black, straight hair. I wanted something to change, so I did it.
Where did you go to get your hair done?
I got it done in Japan by a Japanese stylist so I have to say thank you to her! Her name is Miho Matsuura and she owns Twiggy Salon in Tokyo.
